Waterford Castle
Waterford Castle

The oldest County in Ireland established in 914 a.d. and home to the 5 star Beautiful Waterford Castle. Been located on a private island a ferry transports your car or self across to the island in style taking only two minutes. A favorite among keen golfers and celebrities alike and there is a reason behind that, despite been located on a private island which is reason enough, for sports lovers you could spend the day playing golf on the private course or perhaps tennis on the large courts outside the castle, if sports does not appeal the castle has large surroundings where you could avail of and go deer watching while taking a nature walk, deers are nervous when it comes to people though so always keep your distance to watch these beautiful animals.

The bedrooms all go under a different name and are all large and keeping with the castles heritage with a glorious old celtic feel to the bathrooms and bedrooms. There is also a special option of staying at one of the available holiday homes but this would be more for groups as each home can hold up to 8 people or more. Room service is 24 hours, dinner has to be booked in advance as the castle can fill up quite quickly especially when it comes to golfing season, there is a bar and a restaurant so there are two different menus to choose from when it comes to dinner or snacks during the day. The entertainment at night can range from singers and piano players or simply to a game of chess over a glass of wine as the castle has a range of chess sets set up on tables for your amusement any time of the day.

Overall the experience with Waterford castle is one you will not forget anytime soon, just remember to bring a camera.
